"Anatomische Tabellen" written by J.A. Kulmus, 
the fifth edition, 1745, owned by Dokkyo Medical 
University Library.

The first edition was published in 1722. The 
concise contents might be accepted worldwide, 
so it was translated into many languages. Ryotaku 
Maeno, Genpaku Sugita et al. translated its Dutch 
version "Ontleedekundige Tafelen" into Japanese 
and entitled it as "Kaitai Shinsho" in 1774.

        Please put your belongings into a locker. Keep your valuables with you.

      ☆ All the materials are kept in open stacks.

      ☆Classification of monographs.

        Medical books are in the National Library of Medicine Classification(NLMC). Other books are in Nippon Decimal Classification(NDC).

      ☆An English newspaper "Japan Times" is available on the first floor.

      ☆Periodicals are shelves according to the year of publication

        Current isuues of periodicals are displayed on the table for one week, and then transferred to the unbound current shelves.

      ☆Japanese and foreign periodicals are intershelved in alphabetical order.

      ☆Photocopying

        Plese use the self-service copymachine. It's cost 10yen per sheet.
        There are the forms on the photocopy counter.

      ☆CD-ROM Searching(MEDLINE)

        It is free to use there CD-ROMs. If you want to download the searcher results, you must use your own floppy disk.

      ☆Personal possessions forgotton in the library will be held at the reception counter.
